La moda, en nuestras manos. Cambio de temporada

¡Seamos quienes queramos ser! Este es mi mensaje de inicio de temporada. Para mí septiembre es el mes más excitante dentro y fuera de la industria de la moda. El inicio de mucho, si me doy la oportunidad. Llego con la mente limpia, mi lienzo en blanco, y con las ansias y ganas de ampliar conocimientos y marcar nuevas metas. Nací un 25 de septiembre, quizá ese hecho circunstancial marque parcialmente mi entrega absoluta a un rito iniciativo: el de mejorar cada día un poquito más, en todo.

Fashion, in our hands. Change of season.
Let us be whoever we want to be! This is my message for the beginning of the season. In my opinion, September is the most exciting month within and outside of the fashion industry. It’s the start of many things, if I give myself the chance. I’m back with a clear mind, my canvas is blank, and I am ready and willing to broaden my horizons and set new goals. I was born on 25th September, perhaps this circumstantial fact partly contributes towards my full willingness to accomplish an initiative: to improve just a little bit more on a daily basis, in every way.

Tras devorar muchas de las páginas de mis cabeceras favoritas y diseccionar lo que la moda nos tenía reservado con sus razones y protagonistas, iniciamos el curso con todos los estilos invitados y 4 puntos cardinales establecidos que, lejos de enfrentarse, se complementan: estilo burgués, la década de los setenta, el punk y los años noventa.

Having devoured many of the pages of my top reads and having dissected what the fashion world has in store for us with its reasons and stars, we are kicking off the race with all of the chosen styles and 4 established key points which, far from being conflicting, actually compliment each other: the bourgeoisie style, the seventies decade, punk and the nineties.

Hablaré largo y tendido sobre todos ellos en primera persona, según mis preferencias. Me daré la oportunidad de amar aquello que ‘a priori’ no entendía, e incluso declinaba –lección que he aprendido en los últimos años–, y abriré nuevas puertas y ventanas para reciclar el aire, así mantendré la mente limpia.

I will talk long and hard about all of them from a first-hand perspective, according to my preferences. I will give myself the chance to love everything that I initially didn’t understand, and even turned down – which is a lesson I’ve learned over the past few years-, and I will open up new doors and windows so as to get some fresh air, in this way I will keep a clear head.

Empiezo septiembre con prendas de una colección que me atrae como un imán incontrolable: la de la firma francesa IRO Paris. De mi nuevo esquema estético, os recomiendo piezas esenciales de esta colección: sus vaqueros de talle alto con cinturón, los tops asimétricos con manga jamón y los vestidos y faldas disco mini. ¡En breve, más! Calentando motores.

I’m starting September with items of clothing from a collection which I’ve been drawn to like an uncontrollable magnet: the one by the French brand IRO Paris. From my new aesthetic options, I can recommend the essential pieces in this collection: their high-waisted jeans with a belt, the asymmetric tops with bell shaped sleeves and the disco mini dresses and skirts. To sum up, more to come! We’re just getting warmed up.
