Belleza: Lo último entre lo mejor, la línea facial Flawless de Sepai

Finalizada mi primera sesión de luz pulsada con capacitación láser Max G de Palomar- Cynosure® para eliminar las venitas y manchas solares faciales (aquí), contacté con Paola Gugliotta, creadora de Sepai (una de mis firmas de cosmética facial de cabecera), interesándome por su nueva línea Flawless como nueva rutina facial tras el tratamiento al que me había sometido, pues había oído hablar maravillas de ella.

Paola confirmó mis sospechas: era perfecta. Os cuento el porqué.

Having finished my first pulsed light with the Max G by Palomar- Cynosure® laser treatment in order to get rid of the thread veins and sun spots on my face (here), I got in touch with Paola Gugliotta, the Creator at Sepai (one of my top facial cosmetics brands), showing an interest in their new Flawless line as a new facial routine following the treatment that I had undergone, because I had Heard wonderful things about it.

Paola confirmed my suspicions: it was perfect. Let me tell you why.

Flawless is a line of products that have been developed based on cutting-edge technology, Retin-less, which activates the retinol receptors but avoids the inflammatory processes that are associated with retinoid. It boosts firmness, it activates proteins and it stimulates the tissue.

Con la mezcla de conceptos en mi cabeza, le pregunté a Paola sobre el retinol, para aclarar dudas. «El retinol es un activo médico, no cosmético, que se usa para tratar el acné,  pero también es un potente antienvejecimiento que produce una regeneración celular muy fuerte. Esta regeneración tan fuerte tiene algunos efectos secundarios (se deben a lo fuerte que es la sustancia): produce irritación, sensibilización en la piel, y es teratogénico (puede causar mutaciones en el feto si es consumido oralmente durante el embarazo). Por otro lado, es inestable una vez formulado en una base acuosa y además crea fotosensibilidad con lo que no se puede usar de día.»

With the mix of concepts in my head, I asked Paola about retinol, so as to clear up any queries. «Retinol is a medical active ingredient, not a cosmetic one, that is used to treat acné, but it is also a powerful anti-ageing ingredient which produces very powerful cellular regeneration. This really strong cellular regeneration has some side effects (they are due to how strong the substance is): it causes irritation, skin sensitivity, and it is teratogenic (it can cause mutations in the foetus if it is taken orally during pregnancy). On the other hand, it is unstable once it has been formulated in a aqueous base and, in addition, it causes photosensitivity which means that it cannot be used during the day.» 

Aclarados los efectos secundarios, tranquilas. La tecnología Retin-Less que ha desarrollado Sepai es capaz de activar únicamente las cosas buenas (los receptores retinoicos responsables de los buenos resultados), y desactivar las malas (los receptores génicos inflamatorios responsables de los efectos secundarios), consiguiendo mantener todos los buenos resultados que tiene el retinol sin los procesos inflamatorios, sensibilizantes y fototóxicos no deseados.

Having clarified what the side effects are, don’t worry. The Retin-Less that Sepai have developed is able to just activate the good things (the retinoid receptors that ensure good results), and to deactivate the bad ones (the inflammatory gene receptors that cause the side effects), managing to keep all of the good results that retinol has without triggering any of the unwanted inflammatory, sensitising and phototoxic processes.

Sepai Flawless Lift – Face and Neck Serum 

The serum lift for the face and neck perfects the skin, tightens, tones and redefines the facial contours. It takes action against the causes of lack of firmness and it has a great impact on improving the tightness and tone by reinforcing the skin’s architecture. The result is an anti-gravity effect for a skin that looks younger, but without any of the side effects of retinol.

Sepai Flawless Immaculate SPF 50 – Moisturising Cream

This moisturising cream is a powerful lotion that cleanses, unifies skin tone and fades dark spots so as to give you an immaculate appearance. It also corrects the possible causes that are bringing them on, it prevents their emergence (perfect for me) and it improves the skin’s resistance. It’s a multifunctional moisturiser that offers a complete anti-ageing treatment for skin types that are prone to hyperpigmentation or irregular pigmentation because all of the benefits of the Retin-less technology and the exclusive RMI5 formula by Sepai.

In addition, it contains a very high sun protection factor (SPF 50+) that doesn’t change its light texture or its quick absorption. It’s the safest formulation in order to have dark spot free skin.
