It has been 7 years since Santa Eulalia, the historic luxury fashion store located on Barcelona’s Paseo de Gracia, launched its first line of perfumery under the name Santa Eulalia Parfum, a collection made up of 4 fragrances, Cítrico, Albis, Marinis and Obscuro, whereby each scent represented a different mood, feeling and perspective of the world , all four with a common nexus: paying tribute to Barcelona through components that reflect its spirit.
Over the years the family has been growing and today Santa Eulalia Parfum has more than 10 fragrances that are sold in more than 30 countries. The great news is that the collection has been expanded with the creation of Santa Eulalia’s first organic line of body cosmetics, called Bath&Body.
Bath&Body has gone for products made from plant-based ingredients, reusable packaging and ‘zero waste’, a sustainable proposal that seeks to minimise the impact on the environment while meeting the needs of the most conscious consumer.
The Bath&Body organic cosmetics line features a shower gel, body cream and lotion, bringing back the four most outstanding fragrances from the brand’s perfume line: Obscuro, Nectar, Albis and Citrus.
The shower gel made with non-aggressive surfactants mainly of plant origin, with hydrolysed wheat proteins and aloe vera, make it the unique and right product to cleanse and soothe the most sensitive skin. Fluid and easy to absorb, body lotion is composed of water from Damascus roses and aloe vera, ingredients known for their soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. The latest product that makes up the new Bath & Body line is scented body cream, a fast-absorbing emulsion characterised by the presence of light oils that leaves skin soft and non-greasy, made with shea butter.
Santa Eulalia with its new line of cosmetics Bath&Body joins the eco movement making certified organic formulations of the highest quality, in sustainable and reusable packaging with a minimalist air and inspiration from the 50s that reflects the elegance that is so characteristic of the store.
Personally, I want to share my with everyone: In October 2014 I attended the cocktail presentation of Santa Eulalia Parfum and fell in love with the Marinis fragrance, a Mediterranean perfume with seawater, mint and patchouli accents, among others, that went incredibly well with my skin. After 7 years I am still wearing the same perfume, and although there are many that have been introduced to me and I have liked, none have managed to replace that special bond that unites me to it. Marinis has given me wonderful anecdotes, such as sharing a lift with a stranger and being told “you are the nicest time of my day”; when one of my friends comes to visit me and when she gets home she says to me “in the lift I started to smile, I smelt like you”; sending an item of clothing (via a delivery service to another friend) and receiving the message “opening the bag has been closing my eyes and feeling as if you were here”; to be recognised and welcomed with a nice smile in many of the shops I work with and collaborate for my perfume, because curiously everyone is drawn to it and, in addition, they have the generosity to tell me.
To Marinis I have just added to the shower gel and body cream with the Albis fragrance from the Bath&Body line. On my skin both scents blend very well together.
I encourage you to visit Santa Eulalia, and in its pop-up store with its exquisite, refined and avant-garde atmosphere, trying both its perfumery line and its new line of organic body cosmetics. They are very special; you will be surprised.
