Based on their expertise in skin physiology and biology, LPG have developed a complementary approach to cosmetic skin care and endermologie beauty salon treatments by designing innovative nutricosmetics that act as a global anti-ageing action in a ritual to meet the skin’s fundamental needs: elasticity, tone and hydration.
Combining nutricosmetics and skin care involves moisturising, strengthening and nourishing the skin both outside and inside to maximise beauty results.
The new routine that LPG Endermologie have just launched consists of 3 nutricosmetics that act against the 3 key elements: hyaluronic acid (hydration), omega (elasticity), and collagen (firmness). Let me explain:
HYALURONIC ACID (hydration). One of the first signs of ageing is the loss of skin hydration. As a result, it is less turgid, elastic, hydrated and the first wrinkles appear. For our skin to be naturally hydrated, elastic, firm and wrinkle-free, it is necessary for the body to continuously produce hyaluronic acid – in addition to collagen and elastin. The problem is that every day the human body degrades and re-synthesises approximately a third of all of the hyaluronic acid it contains and, in addition, it is destroyed from the ages of 20-25. At 40 the reserves go down to 50%, and after 60 only 10% of our hyaluronic acid capital remains.
A single capsule contains 200 mg of hyaluronic acid, the equivalent of 1 litre of water. It contains state-of-the-art hyaluronic acid produced by biotechnology that presents a full spectrum with different molecular weights from 50 to 3,000 kDA, an exact reflection of the various types of hyaluronic acid naturally present in the body. When absorbed into the dermis, it stimulates the natural production of hyaluronic acid to establish a true reserve of moisture to intensely hydrate and stimulate cell renewal.
How to use: Take one capsule a day with a glass of water during a meal.
COLLAGEN (firmness). Year after year the skin loses firmness, it is less toned. The dermis, located under the epidermis, is the thickest part of the skin and it becomes thinner and cannot perform its support function with the same effectiveness. In the dermis there are high amounts of collagen, and this constitutes 70% of its composition, helping the skin to perform its support function. Elastin, which is bound to collagen fibres, is present in smaller amounts (4% of the composition of the dermis) and it gives the skin its elasticity. From the age of 25, the body progressively decreases the production of collagen; from the age of 40 this decrease is up by 1% per year, and by the age of 70 we have already lost 30%. And the elastin fibres are damaged causing a loss of skin firmness.
It is time to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin to maintain the firmness and elasticity of the skin.
A sachet of chocolate and hazelnut-flavoured, sugar-free, fat-free collagen powder containing a patented combination of marine collagen and elastin peptides in skin-identical proportions. “We use peptides produced by the hydrolysis of natural collagen and elastin fibres. Peptides are small molecules that are easily absorbed by the body.”
Benefits: After 28 days, it reduces wrinkles and expression lines and improves skin tone. After 3 months the skin is strengthened.
How to use: Take one sachet a day with 100ml of water or hot milk (of animal or vegetable origin). Low-fat cocoa, contains no sugar, no sweeteners, no acidifying agents.
OMEGA 3, 6, 9 (elasticity). Over time the skin becomes drier and more sensitive to aggression. It loses flexibility, lacks luminosity and softness. The cause? The skin barrier and its hydrolipidic film change as we age and become less effective.
It is necessary to nourish this thin protective layer with fatty acids, the main components of the hydrolipidic film, and essential substances in the membranes of the epidermal cells, which makes the skin soft and flexible by retaining water on its surface to prevent it from evaporating (what is called trans-epidermal water loss -PAT-).
Unsaturated fatty acids, omega 3, 6 and 9, are famous for their active role in maintaining the flexibility and elasticity of the skin: Omega 3, a natural component of the hydrolipidic film that helps us to combat skin dryness and to improve the elasticity of the skin. Omega 6, a natural component of ceramides and essential for the membranes of epidermal cells that help maintain the hydrolipidic film, thus moisturising the skin. Omega 9, natural components of sebum, reinforce the elasticity, hydration, nutrition and youthful appearance of the skin.
How to use: Take 2 capsules daily with food.
Benefits: Sacha inchi oil is a natural source of vitamins A and E, recognised for its antioxidant properties that help fight ageing. And it contains a very high concentration of omega 3, 6 and 9. It protects the skin from free radicals. The skin is softer and suppler, and it enhances its natural luminosity.
