Beauty: Weekend, pick me up!

The weekend works out so well for us, among many other things, to pamper ourselves, get rid of stress and get our health back on track as well as do our facial and hair care routines.

My (home) beauty rituals are varied. On a weekly basis I keep putting them together according to my skin’s and my hair’s needs with highly effective and easy to apply cosmetics. The products keep changing except for two of them, the basics for detoxing my skin from all of the weekly grind and hydrating my hair to the max. My objective is always the same: show off healthy skin and hair.

In my travel suitcase the facial exfoliator Black Baccara Dynamic Weekend Peel Booster and the hair mask Glacial White Caviar Hydra-Pure Rescue Masque , both by Miriam Quevedo, can never be left out.

These two cosmetics have become my favourite ritual for a perfect week. Both of them give me an in-depth treatment. One of them boosts and makes sure my skin is glowing and peachy throughout the whole day. The other one gives my hair a lot of nourishment.

Baccara Dynamic Weekend Peel Booster. It’s a deep renewing (exfoliating) treatment for the face, neck and décolletage. With regards to its application:

1. We should deeply cleanse the skin with our usual cosmetics.
2. Carry out relaxing movements by pressing lightly with our fingertips on the skin (see picture). These manoeuvres will help us to relax our body and our skin by helping its absorption and the (healthy glow) effect of the product.
3. Put one pipette of the product in your hand and apply it to the skin (face, neck, décolletage) in an outward motion by starting with the forehead, nose, cheeks and chin. Rub it in using a downward motion including the neck and décolletage until the product is fully absorbed. Don’t rinse it off, leave the product on all night. The nights we use the Weekend Peel, we use just this cosmetic (we can’t use other Boosters or creams). In the morning we remove the product and we apply out usual beauty routine.

They advise us to use this product twice a week at night. Renewed skin absorbs the nutrients in treatment serums and creams better that we use on a daily basis.

Glacial White Caviar Hydra-Pure Rescue Masque. It’s an ultra-moisturising and anti-ageing mask for hair and scalps that are dehydrated, stressed out, sensitised by hair dye, straightening, by heat, exposure to the sun or intensive drying. It helps us to rebalance the cutaneous micro-flora and to combat the discomfort of a stressed out scalp. Thanks to its unique highly concentrated formulation it maintains, renews and retains pure, continuous hydration without weighing it down. With regard to its application: Apply the mask from root to tips strand by strand. Carry out a light head massage. Put your hair up in a bun and leave the product on throughout the night. In the morning we should rinse it off according to our usual shampoo and conditioner routine.
