What’s new?

Every year, the same song, without even varying the full stops nor the commas; I find January complicated. Two and a half months away from spring –this year 20th March 2029 will arrive–, my worried mind is looking for new windows to open in order to breathe in fresh air. I need to lose myself in the pages of my top magazines so that they can illustrate the fashion that is on its way to me.

Having partly done my homework, there is still a lot left to mull over. Among the new trends we can find items of clothing, accessories and highlights like the new smoking jacket with shorts and sequin bolero; the female dandy that combines a knitted jumper, leather trousers, ladylike handbag and moccasins; the romantic ultra white shirt; the military style parka in fabrics like silk, and embroidered; the cowboy hybrid that mixes the inspiration from the Wild West, rock and roll and the eighties; the Balmoral look with mini pleated skirts as the absolute stars; the links necklace accompanying exquisite knitted basics and leather items of clothing; the (other) tailoring made from different fabrics, full of details (like XL pockets) and combined with jewelled shoes; the new trench coat made of unexpected fabrics; the Bermuda shorts (not long nor short); the polo shirts in their most classic versions or in an oversized style, the Canadian tuxedo, mini dresses, swimmer tops, etc.

In terms of accessories, pieces of quality or costume jewellery are losing their supporting role to share the spotlight with the handbag. The trend is encouraging us to compliment our outfits with a generous combination of earrings, necklaces, bracelets… They will earn brownie points in the final results.

Handbags. I choose: The Mariona Snake Grey handbag that I have created in collaboration with the brand Anna Cortina. A 24/7 model (24 hours a day, seven days a week). Classic, timeless, in a vaguely vintage style, made from cow skin leather (snakeskin effect), and nubuck leather on the inside, with a screw-shaped clasp that is totally identifiable, an evolution of the masterpiece clasp on the Bolt Bag.

Jewellery. I choose: A combo of 3 necklaces, an Antique gold coloured metal choker, a maxi waterfall crystal style necklace and a metal chain, and a maxi tie style necklace, all from the fashion jewellery brand Sita Nevado. I suggest them to you, and now it’s up to you to decide.
