“Now that the only black figures in our economy are those of unemployment benefits and debts. Now is the time to stop regretting and crying about lost opportunities; throwing away pre-Covid calendars and plans that are no useless; clinging on tooth and nail to reality and circumnavigating the massive storm that is upon us. How? Who knows? Our formula for now is made up of high doses of hard work, positive energy, and plenty of focus.”  María Pardo de Santayana, Director of Marie Claire.

If at Marie Claire their objective is to make our lives easier, as their readers, to let us know something about what we did not know, to inspire us to delve deep into our resolve, to make us force a hint of a smile or to invite us to dream, I, in addition to joining forces with that, am trying to bring you closer to raising fashion awareness, to encourage us to rely on our staple wardrobe items, in order to put together new outfits that are equally appealing and current. The timeless pieces are not in the slightest bit boring, they are continuous lines that are full of life lessons that talk about who we are and, as well as having a past, always fit in well with the present.

My choice: today’s outfit has been put together with items of clothing from different seasons, highlighting the shoes by Miu Miu that must be about 7 or 8 years old. The combo of necklaces by Sita Nevado and the Mariona handbag in collaboration with the brand Anna Cortina, are the only pieces from this season. Sifting through our timeless items of clothing and accessories by mixing them up with other ones from the current season, it is necessary given the surrealism of the new normality and how necessary it is to advance with caution and consistency.
