On 19th October it is the Global Day Against Breast Cancer and, fortunately, for around 28 years the beauty word has actively collaborated in research to cure the disease and support those who have been affected by it.
Among the beauty companies that are taking part in this initiative is LPG® Endermologie that have joined forces with the GEICAM Foundation with a shared goal: to fight against breast cancer.
LPG® have spent over 30 years developing medical devices to treat the connective tissue in a natural and non-aggressive way with cosmetic and therapeutic outcomes. This is with the assistance of a scientific research committee (Co.S.I.Re) whereby a professional team are dedicated to oncology, LPG® alongside physiotherapists and women with breast cancer.
Now, LPG® have joined forces with GEICAM, the leading breast cancer research association in Spain, with renowned prestige at an international level, in order to contribute towards the promotion of research as a key route in overcoming breast cancer, achieving real lifestyle changes for breast cancer patients and their families, and sharing their experience and credibility.
The aim of the GEICAM Foundation is to raise awareness with a multidisciplinary focus and within the criterion of high-quality independent clinical, endermological and translational research in the fields of breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. All of this is oriented towards improving the results in terms of health, such as its prevention, the medical training and spread of this pathology for patients and society in general.
LPG® have created PINK OCTOBER by endermologie® to collaborate with the cause. With the purchase of the new limited-edition Rose and Lychee Wellbeing Tea (“Té Bienestar”), LPG Will donate part of the proceeds to the GEICAM Foundation. This Pink range of tea is not sold on LPG’s website, you will be able to find it in all good LPG centres. If you wish to join the initiative, you can find the direct link to the centre search page here.
Why a Pink Edition of Té Bienestar? Because “tea time” is synonymous with relaxation, with calm, with serenity…, and LPG want this chill and recuperation time that is so essential to be made the most of.
Té Bienestar has a subtle mix of organically cultivated plants: white tea (51%), rich in antioxidants, stimulates the decomposition of lipids (fats); hibiscus (20%), which purifies the body thus getting rid of toxins; coriander (10%) and rose (5%), which aid good digestion to balance the body; and hawthorn (9%), which boosts this feeling of wellbeing with its relaxing benefits.
“We are in the prelude to ensuring that breast cancer is no longer a disease with increased mortality rates.” Dr. Miguel Martín. President of GEICAM Chief of Staff for Medical Oncology at Gregorio Marañón University Hospital.
“Breast cancer will be the third most diagnosed type in Spain in 2020: it is estimated that there will be more than 32,000 new cases, with most of them being women. “
Every little does help. I urge you to support this by doing what you can and getting some Té Bienestar, or rather by making a direct donation to the GEICAM Foundation via the attached link here.
