An intimate gathering that reaffirms the Spanish artisanal soul of MICUIR’s Autumn-Winter 2025 collection, Wild Rouge.
Last Tuesday, October 28th, in the secluded garden of Gala restaurant, MICUIR hosted a very special lunch to celebrate the Barcelona launch of its new Autumn-Winter 2025 collection, Wild Rouge.

Six guests —Valentina Garí, Alejandra Meler, Nadine Caldera, Reyes Torres, Maica Jáuregui, and myself— gathered around the table, sharing conversations and experiences with Patricia Peña, sister of Elena Peña, founder and creative director of MICUIR, and Mencía, from the brand’s team.

The serene atmosphere of GALA’s garden provided the perfect setting to discover the new designs from MICUIR’s Wild Rouge collection, which unfolds in a palette where deep black, rich burgundy, dark chocolate and subtle gold coexist across full-grain calf leather, nubuck, suede, and other noble textures.

Among the house icons, the Punky Boots stood out —a silhouette that perfectly embodies MICUIR’s spirit of refined rebellion. This season, they are reimagined in variations that elevate their essence: silver or gold studs, heels of 4, 6 or 7 cm, in black, brown or suede.
The collection also broadens its horizons with structured handbags —from baguette to bucket styles adorned with studs— alongside long wool coats, suede jackets, and prêt-à-porter pieces that expand MICUIR’s world of footwear into a complete wardrobe.

A collection that unites the timelessness of well-executed design with an audacious gesture: blending the classical soul of fine leather with details that break uniformity —studs, buckles, and open silhouettes.

During the lunch, we spoke about craftsmanship, fine leathers, and limited editions —those small stories of luxury that celebrate authenticity over ostentation. Patricia Peña described MICUIR as “a family built from within”, a house that grows by listening to real women —those who inspire its creations— and inviting each of us to become part of that story.

The Essence of MICUIR: Craftsmanship, Exclusivity, and a Spanish Soul
The name MICUIR, drawn from the Latin meu cuir (“my leather”), reflects its identity as a handmade in Spain brand devoted to craftsmanship. Using the finest selected leathers, 24k gold- or sterling-silver-plated hardware, proprietary lasts, and the skilled hands of Spanish artisans, each piece is a testament to excellence and dedication.
Founder Elena Peña was guided by a clear instinct: to fly solo, to feel free, to trust her intuition, shaping the pieces she couldn’t find in the market. Her vision embraces the value of Made in Spain as a seal of excellence —a conscious gesture of luxury that transcends the ephemeral.

MICUIR stands for slow fashion —with carefully limited runs (“each design is crafted with care… our capsule collections never exceed 50 pieces per design”)— and for a woman who knows what she’s choosing: elegant, stylish, and deeply aware of her values.

Ultimately, MICUIR tells stories that remind us that quality is not ostentation, but devotion to craft —and that a well-made piece can speak as powerfully as a room full of lights.
I invite you to discover their new Autumn-Winter 2025 collection: a declaration for those who seek craftsmanship with soul.
