(Re)discovering the masculine white shirt

“Silky, with see-through panels, with bows on the collar or voluminous sleeves: the romantic shirts are going back to the front row of your wardrobe to reclaim their femininity in their multiple shapes and colours.” I like the look that the trend demands this season, but for now I feel that, above anything  else, I fancy (re)discovering the classic style of the white masculine shirt.

My choice: An equally generous cut, without any waste nor unnecessary extravagances, or new materials – there’s no need – and keeping the utmost simplicity at its core.

The versatility of the white shirt is turning it into one of the most popular basics in history, and although its masculine version for the ladies subtly defies the classic, it is also worth including it in our selection of basic items of clothing. I insist, let’s confirm to a solid wardrobe with pieces that are NOT just for a single outfit, and let’s try to endlessly rework them, and even omit them whenever we feel like it..

Be careful and value every one of our possessions by giving them a long life, it is a gesture of respect towards ourselves and a pledge towards more responsible and sustainable. It’s the time and the place.
